Gosh, my LJ friends are awesome!

Thanks to birdsofshore and mab for their virtual gifts and everyone else who commented on yesterday's post.

I'll be away for a week from today on. It wasn't planned that way. Instead of me Mr Kantorka and the little one should have been accomplished by my mother-in-law. But then shit happened and rl got in the way (and I understand it), but I'm still miffed that I'm going to get the full family package instead of a week of blissful 'aloneness'. Well, if I sound like a petulant child...it's just because I wanted to do so many things and now my plans are all messed up.

I'm going to try to answer all lingering messages in my postbox and I'm planning to follow Smooch on my mobile too.

I'll take the new laptop my co-workers wrote about (they just knew I was planning to buy one- LOL) with me, but as the cottage won't have wifi, I'm not sure I can go online in a comfortable way. Bought it for such occasions; when I'm away from home (or the little one will be ill- then she never gets enough of my close company and I don't make it to my desk). The thing is shiny and charcoal grey-black and I'm happy to have one more gadget to hatch, but let me tell you windows 8 is a big shit. I hope version 10 will be better or we have to reinstall the whole thing and I'll take 7 again. And no, I won't switch to a mac one day because my experiences with i-tunes (my old i-phone) were enough for a lifetime (no matter how sparkly, pretty and fast i-things are [let's not forget expensive]).

I'm sure we'll have some family fun on our holidays. It's a very pretty landscape down south at Lake Constance. One can visit three countries in a day (if one likes), the town Constance is pretty too and there is an island in the Lake (Mainau) which is more or less a big garden with a lot of rare flowers and plants (because it's very warm and visitors are only during day times allowed).

Ok, I need to pack all our things. See you in a week or via mobile.
