Founder's Ball is one of my all time favourite fics. I love the atmosphere, the open-mindedness of Harry, Luna and even Susan, the description of the garb, the whole ceremony and the idea of the rededication. Maybe you know Rickey's And an Owl Named Romeo better or one of her Harry/Ron stories? They are all worth a look, but Founder's Ball is special for me because it makes me comfortable. Whenever I'm in a bad mood and need something short but festive I'm reading this story and it never fails to make me smile.

Thank you for the recs. As I think about participating at hd_owlpost I should make myself better acquainted with the owls (Romeo). I love unexpected careers, so owl-breeder!Draco is very tempting :-). And a rescue-my-drowning-mood-fic should be a standard-item of everybody's first aid box! Bookmarked it for emergencies ;-).
