Title: Scurrilous
Author/Artist: current anon at [livejournal.com profile] hd_smoochfest 2015
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing(s) Harry/Draco
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 25,142
Warnings: A certain amount of ragging on the gutter press. Terrible song titles. Pansy Parkinson.
Epilogue compliant? Nope, not even a little bit.

Summary: When Potter starts behaving more oddly than usual, Draco has no choice but to take an interest. After all, it’s his job. Sort of.

Why I loved it: Warning. This might be a bit spoilerish!
The story was funny and made me very happy- as in smiling like a beacon happy! Just imagine Draco and Pansy as broadcasters- frank and witty and them taking care of each other with much banter. Wonderful! And Harry with his strange behaviour, the changing hair colours, the orange dress, him taking care of all the anmimals so tenderly and Brenda on the leash. But the best thing- the details. So many great details; The Eye in the Sky, the coffee vendetta (*cackles*), the omnivoxes (or would it be declined to the latin plural omnivoces?), handsome Derek, and all the great nah, not terrible song titles. Seriously, I would love to hear some of those songs.

Title: Some Observations Upon The Segregation Of The Queen

Fandom: Sherlock Holmes (ACD)
Pairing(s) Holmes/Watson
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 7076

Summary: When a gang of criminals come after an elderly Holmes and Watson in search of revenge, Holmes takes an unusual step to protect Watson.

Why I loved it: Such a lovely story. To see those two old men dealing with some very dumb but much younger and faster criminals was great. The story is told in retrospective and that's too lovely. Yes, there was an adventure which included ladder climbing and keeping a bee-queen safe in the middle of the night, but the real treat was the way Watson told his story. He rambles on about their lives, gets aware of it and pulls himself together just to slip on another side-track a few paragraphs later. Those parts were the most charming ever.
The author has such a wonderful imagination. It's even more distinct in their Skeleton series. I'm currently waiting for the 3rd part to be finished. Soon... :D
