The story is written in 2nd ppov and though I know it's not everybody's favourite you should take a look. I loved how the pov let the reader get deep in touch with this Scorpius. We can relate to his longing for Harry much better than we would with a 3rd ppov. It also gives us that tiny bit of distance that made it real and that we wouldn't have got with a 1st ppov.Maybe I can relate so well to Scorpius (and all the MCs in 2nd ppov) because I often talk to myself like that. Anyway, give it a try. Writ's writing is always worth it.
Excerpt:
You slide your thumb against his cheek and he shivers as the cold leather brushes his flushed skin. You run your thumb over his lip and your heart quickens as his lips part and his eyes flutter closed, just for a breathless moment. You press against him and whisper in his ear, things you never thought you’d say out loud.

Why I loved it: The wonderful Writ wrote a holiday gift ficlet for me and it's awesome. The story is about Scorpius and Harry. The latter tries to resist the former, but Scorpius insists because he knows they would just work. It's about love and hope with a tiny bit of angst. As always when it comes to Writ's writing the atmosphere is one of sheer beauty. Her descriptions of this One Snowy Night made me want to go out in the dark, looking for falling snow, maybe catching some snowflakes with my tongue...even though I don't like freezing cold days at all.
