I've only ever dabbled in reading BDSM (I'm actually not really into kink at all, I've discovered over time), but in over 30 years of reading fanfic, I've seen my share. :-)
So, a few years ago I've come across Xanthe, a terrific writer whose stories are also good character studies apart from everything else. :-) She writes in a variety of fandoms, from X-Files to BBC Sherlock; I'm sure you'll find something to your liking there. (She now also posts to AO3, same name, if you prefer reading there.)
In HP, there's always Loui, who left the fandom a few years ago and took her fics down, but I have a zip file of her works; PM me if you want a copy. :-)
