We got the preliminary posting schedule for FrostIron Bang on tumblr today and guess what? My fabulous artist and I will be the first to post.



Yup, it's really going to happen. *wrings her sweaty hands*
The art will blow peoples' mind as it is absolutely stunning. Let's hope my story can entertaining as well. I did my best, candamira held my hand for months, and gracerene had reserved me a spot for her wonderful beta skills even though she was (and is) up to her neck in work.

I'm super happy that hp_nextgen_fest starts posting on Halloween as that will keep me occupied until it's 11/11 and beyond. :D

November is just the best month, isn't it? :D (All, right, all right, it also contains my b-day among other things, so I'm partial, LOL!) I'm looking forward to the next-gen and to your story (especially if it comes with an art) and I guess I'm again the only person in fandom excited about seeing Fantastic beasts (I've already got a ticket for pre-premiere on November 16 and I always had a thing for Eddie, LOL!) - that American election madness will be over - what's not to look forward to! And it starts with a week of the so-called potato holidays for me - seriously, what's not to love?! :)

Birds is excited for Fantastic Beasts, and I think others too. Tbh, I'm more interested in Dr. Strange even though I'm aware they whitewashed the cast horribly. I still don't get why they couldn't pick an Asian woman instead of Tilda Swinton (though I like her very much). Why not pick Zhang Ziyi or - how scandalous a thought - a Tibetan actress? Eh, yes, how did I end up talking about actresses?
Anyway, the day after the US election can't come fast enough.

Ah, all the FrostIron Bang stories come with art.
In fact that's the special of a Bang. During the process an author with their story in the making will be paired with an artist who creates something that fits the story. In this case the stories were claimed by the artists. It's the other way round if it's a Reversebang. There the artist comes first and the author tries to claim an art prompt (is matched with an artist) and writes a story for their art. That's one of the thrills, you're in a collaboration and not alone in the fest.

2016 is a weird year for me in rl - shitty things keep happening - but I'm happy to have found my fandom joy again after being absent for so long. The good things I experience here on LJ make-up for the rl chaos.

Yes, 2016 hasn't been the best of years, and it seems to be a general thing. Must be all the horrible politics, impending wars and running ones on top of thing... but you know I'll be they're whenever it's necessary. Even if you just need someone to talk to over a coffee or two. *hugs tight*
