I'm so excited...

Today's the day where the artists claim the frostironbang stories. I'm so excited and jittery right now. It's gonna start at 1pm -3 GMT (which means from 6pm here) and, OMG, it's ridiculous how nervous I am about the whole thing. There are 25 stories in the pool, and a lot of them seem brilliant from their summaries. I won't read more than those, because I don't want to spoil the fun in November, but yeah it's hard. LOL

It's brain-meltingly hot today. Didn't cool down last night as it did all the other nights before and yeah, that's not helping. At least I'll be out with the family to swim this afternoon. That should be distracting enough. :)

Hawt damn, even I'm excited for you! I know your writing in a luxury to read, so I hope someone ridiculously talented picks your story! Do the artist have to read the whole story or just the summary? I'm not sure I understand how this works, but I'm very excited it's happening for you because I know this will is an important story for you (new fandom and a bit of writing break) and I hope it's all you wish for! Damn, November better come quickly! :)

I think every artist who signed up for the bang gets the links to all stories as the author's have sent them along. All others can only read the summaries and headers as they exist so far on tumblr (which includes me, now that I think about it as I only have my own link *grins sheepishly). At first I didn't understand the process at all, as it's so different from a LJ fest, but I get there step by step. :D

ETA: Well, now that I've thought some more about it. Maybe the artists get only to see the summaries too and will just get the link to their claimed story

And will you know the artist's name before November or is that a secret! That's really exciting, heh! I think a lot of fanfic writers probably wish to have some art work made to their writing, so I can relate to your enthusiasm! :)

Well, we have to talk to each other about the things they want to draw and maybe their likes, so I'll at least learn their only name. :D

Mr Kantorka is currently testing our daughter's swimming skills (she's pretty for her age) and I'm playing lazy mum. LOL

I'm exvited, too! The owlpost owls and postmasters have a busy day today because it's assignments delivery time! I'm very curious who my giftees will be.

Oh, owl assignments. Yes, that's exciting too! :D Btw, the bang has grown around 1k into it's second part. They are so... you'll see, it's one step forward two back. But yeah, that way I'll reach 20k without a problem. LOL

I've never signed up for a bang before, because they're often about +50k stories and that's not happening, but this is low-key with a minimum of 7.5k. I couldn't resist. And yes, getting art for your story is the most precious thing. :D

It was stressful. And now it's only exciting as I just talked to 'MY' artist for the first time and checked out their blogs. Holy shit, they're doing all these surreal, often a bit creepy stuff, but, tbh, I love it. Art that can lure you in by looking nice in the first second and than becomes eerie the longer you look at it. Oh yes, I'm a huge Otto Dix fan and my artist's art is right upon that alley. *beams*
