Wow, my LJ is buzzing with post-Leviosa posts and other activities and I just jump on the bandwagon and share some thoughts I had, things I did, and people I want to hug.
The important part first:
huldrejenta, it's your birthday, hon! I hope you've been having a wonderful day with your family and friends. I'm sending big hugs and little things that hopefully bring joy. ♥

my_thestral, you darling you! I couldn't believe my eyes, but you really sent me a Hogwards postcard from London. Gosh, I could just kiss you. Thank you very much! Luv u. ♥

As a side effect of my idea to write a Frostiron fic in MCU I've started to watch nearly all the movies. Let's try a one sentence résumé of each of them:
Iron Man - Even though Tony was an ass, I loved his sass.
Iron Man 2 - Less drones and more plotline would have been better.
Thor - A poor performance of nearly everyone, director inclusive, except Loki who saved that movie.
Avengers - Thought I got to see something like this all the time: witty dialogues, action, and lots of fun.
Iron Man 3 - My favourite of the three because Tony really seemed to have grown without losing his sense of humour.
Thor: The Dark World - Marginally better than the first, only because the evil ones are still the most interesting here.
Captain America: Winter Soldier - Steve and I won't become friends, but I loved everyone else like Sam, Nat, Fury, Hill and Bucky.
Guardians of the Galaxy - This cosmic space opera with its crazy Racoon and Groot was my favourite of all the Marvel movies.
Avengers: Age of Ultron - Blegh, this was bad: too much action and way too many sappy moments that felt fake.
Captain America: Civil War - to come (have to wait until it's available on DVD as it is not running anymore)
I didn't watch The First Avengers and Hulk because they're unimportant for my writing plans. If the occasion arises, I'll take a look.

It's great to see all the Leviosa posts and how vivid my dash/feed has suddenly become. Oh, very important: Everyone who's been there at Leviosa and not here. Did you see
birdsofshore's Leviosa Leftouts Love-in post? Such a fabulous idea. I cried tears of laughter while reading through the comments. And imo we all have to admire Birds for facing that dice that ran 3s like nothing else. I case you've missed it, she had promised to write Haikus for thrice cursed 3s and she did. *kudos, kudos, kudos*

Ah, there was more, but I can't remember it atm. As it's late and this post is big enough I just wish you all a pleasant day or, in this case, a good night!

Date: 2016-07-13 09:44 pm (UTC)Oh, I also liked Guardians of the Galaxy the best - I'm not a big Marvel fanatic, but that one had a few very colourful characters! :)
So glad you're enjoying the fandom again! :)

Date: 2016-07-14 07:30 pm (UTC)Guardians of the Galaxy. Yes, the characters were great. All the Marvel charas have clusters of issues, but at least here they were all charming and they felt more human to me than the 'real' humans often do.

Date: 2016-07-14 10:45 am (UTC)I had a lovely day, we're home in Oslo now after a two weeks in Spain & I enjoyed presents and cake and dining with lovely people :))
Thanks again for your birthday wishes even when i've been so quiet on LJ for so long ♡
(For my next trick i'm thinking of updating my LJ ;) it’s about time and then some)
Ooh exciting that you're exploring a bit of mcu fandom :)
I've been completely into that fandom lately as you might’ve guessed from my tumblr haha :)
I recommend watching the first avenger if you want to know Steve better, it gives important background for his characters (and the avengers movies don’t necessarily do his characterisation justice imo) haha i really love Steve can you tell?? ;)
Guardians of the galaxy was a lot of fun :)
I hope you're having a wonderful summer!!! Hugs ♡
ETA : I just now realised what frostiron is - not too quickly haha :) i had no idea that was a ting, but it’s great that you're writing and it’s so much fun to explore new pairings ♡ Loki is such a good character :)

Date: 2016-07-14 07:52 pm (UTC)MCU. I've been lurking for a while and read quite a few pairings (mostly due to alby's art) before I found a favourite one. I love frostiron. They're smart, they hate each other, and didn't have that much scenes together, but the few they had were great - that makes for a lot of potential.
Cap. I read the plotline of The First Avenger, saw a lot of pictures and I did read some comics back than (and I even bought some new ones too) - chances are slim that I'll ever get warm with Steve. I like the actor though. He's not my type as a guy, but he's funny, and I love when he gets all feminist and gets his 'don't talk shit with me'-gaze. But even that can safe the character for me (actors and actresses never can, if I don't like them in the first place). Well, that's the fun with Marvel. So many characters: enough guys to love and some great ladies too. There'll be one for everyone. ;p
Have a lovely summer too! See you here or on tumblr. ♥

Date: 2016-07-14 01:14 pm (UTC)Interesting to see your opinions on the marvel films. (No ANT-MAN?) Even if they're quite different than mine.

Date: 2016-07-14 08:04 pm (UTC)Yeah, I know we don't see the MCU charas the same way. You told me that really liked (loved?) Thor. So, I assume our view diverge on more charas and the movies as well. It's totally okay with me. If we'd all see movies or books (or the world) the same way, the world would be a dull place. :)
Ant Man. I'm thinking about it. It's similar to Hulk and The First Avenger though, its story isn't necessary for the story I'm writing at the moment. And it might be silly, but I don't really like ants, especially not if I get to see them as big as the shrunken hero(es).

Date: 2016-07-15 12:33 pm (UTC)I didn't hate Thor! I didn't mind the costumes which is what we talked about before. First viewing it was little underwhelming. Personally I'd have liked it more if they concentrated more on just Earth and Thor's character growth or just scheming and machinations on the Asgard plot.
Ant-Man is not necessary, though it's a fun movie. But if you don't like Ants.... yeah that'd be an issue. The Character's in Civil War (sans any actual ants) so seeing would give slightly more context but it's certainly not vital.

Date: 2016-07-14 08:18 pm (UTC)Aw, squishes you. I have only started to write it and you already want to read it? That's encouraging! <3
This year's frostironbang starts posting in November. I'll let you know when it's there for everyone to see.
If you want to take a look at some long and brilliant fics, I'd rec my two favourites 'Winterheart' by goddamnhella and 'Bend Around the Wind' by Scyllaya. The first is a Beauty and Beast AU (guess who's the beauty, LOL), the latter a spectacular space odyssey. Be warned, both are long and addictive.

Date: 2016-07-14 08:38 pm (UTC)Okay well they both sound absolutely amazing and so I am definitely going to be reading those post haste, ty. <3 And yay for a bang! I'm sure yours is going to be spectacular and definitely I look forward to reading it.

Date: 2016-07-14 08:53 pm (UTC)Enjoy! And tell me if they strike your fancy.
Well, it's planned as a mini bang, but I've already realised that my versions of them are as bad at shutting up as the canon ones are. LOL
