I might have just signed up to write a MCU fic, a bang no less. Yupp, and though I'm asking myself in a crazy high-pitched voice "What have you done?", I'm looking forward to doing it.
Ah wait, I should tell you it's not going to be a story with Steve as a MC, so my Stony and Stucky flisters can relax - I won't harm the precious stars-and-spangled boy. No, I'm in for the more ambiguous and megalomaniac characters of Marvel, like Tony and Loki. Ups, that might just be the pairing. If you're not used to them, they're called ForstIron or IronFrost and, my, isn't that a charming name for a pair?

I read a few Marvel comics in my teenage days and have always loved the norse mythology because of Loki's ambivalent character. Then I took glimpses into the fandom because of alby_mangroves gorgeous art, even though I didn't find my pairing for a while. Then I stumbled over some wonderful art by Artmetica (http://archiveofourown.org/works/1303585) for a fic named Winterheart by Goddamnhella. Let me asure you that was the most marvellous story I've read in a while.
It even made me forget about my dislike of action movies. Yep, I've started to watch the movies and can tell you that:
- I cringed my way through Thor. Wtf was Kenneth Branagh thinking? Or is this golden bling nonsense in Asgard Marvel's or Disney's fault?
- I loved the Avengers. Does anybody know that I lived a few years in Stuttgart? Laughed my arse of about that part and some others too.

Long story short. Let's hope I won't embarrass myself by writing my first MCU fic, the first story in AE (that's going to be strange), and from the pov of one of two geniuses even though I'm far from being one. Well, don't say I do anything by halves. Wish me luck!

I'm sure you're going to do marvellous, darling! Why wouldn't you? You're talented and motivated and, pairing or universe aside, when you love your characters, that usually comes through in your writing. I'm wishing you luck, because tackling a new fandom usually pulls behind all other challenges (like knowing canon really well) so it's not to just be shrugged off lightly!
Oh, to give you something to laugh about: when I first read your tags (in my e-mail notification), I read frostiron like frosti-ron - and I was like: why would be Nia writing about a frosty Ron?! LOL, I just can't get out of my own head! :D

You lovely thing you. Let's hope your trust in my abilities will be verified. Ah it'll be ages before it's posted (end of October or November), but I'll tell you.

Frosty Ron? LOL Wouldn't that be a great code name? Your way of thinking is precious, no need to change a thing. <3

Btw, how's your writing going? Do you make progress with your boys' story?

Boys are done and sadly, there's not much of a story, it came out endless as usual and pretty porny. Oh, well, I'll try better next time. Right now my beta is pulling out her hair over it and I'm waiting for her to start pulling mine, because the story is just as much a grammatical horror as always. :) But at least usually the story is there and now it's just one drooling over another for half a story, so I think she's yawning as well as cursing. :P This was truly not my greatest writing moment, but I just wanted to wrap it in the end.

I'm fairly certain I have nothing to fear with your writing. *nods confidently*

Ah, I'm sure they are as lovely as your boys usually are. Tbh, I can't see a flaw in characters having more sexy times in this than in other stories of yours.

Ah, I can't open the link on my mobile as I'm using fb only on my PCs, but I do hope nothing is going to happen to you and your boys. Remember, London voted remain, at least the majority did. *hugs tightly*

I wasn't crazy about the first Thor either. :( But the second grew on me a bit better. I like Thor as Avenger and all, but his movie, yeah, no, didn't quite do it for me.

I thought you mean you weren't writing Steve as an MC as in the musical occupation. I thought it was an odd AU to have to deny straight of the bat.

Ah, you know what looks ridiculously cool in a comic can look uncool and over the top in a movie. Like Loki's helmet or these disc shaped things at Thor's breastplate and all the gold. Thor's outfit looked way less plastic in Avengers, at least I thought so.

Haha, no. No musical and Steve only as a side character. Don't get me wrong. I do like Steve, but am fairly sure I'll never be able to get his picture perfect American dream come true persona across. I knows it's a mask like the suit at times, but he's an icon. And as a non-American I don't want to mess with that.

GOOOD LUCKKK!!! You will nail it completely :D:D:D How exciting, to be writing in a new verse (it's not an entirely new fandom is it? I get confused by MCU, but I am curious about reading the stuff in it)!! I guess I am having that feeling right now, as I am only newly writing in THIS fandom haha, and it's all exhilarating, and scary, and causing a bit of nausea LOL.

Also, I'm with you on Thor. Kenneth, like, what was going on there? I hope someone was twisting his arm. Actually, they probably were haha.

Thank you, my sweet noodle! Well, Marvel is complicated as there are comics on the one hand and movies plus tv series on the other. The latter is based on the former, but afaik there are some differences. I'm not versed enough with the comics to have a say.

Anyway, I'm still working on watching canon and just had a great time with the 3rd Iron Man. I might just get used to all the explosions around sassy Mr. Stark or I'm still falling for this genius with all the gorgeous gadgets. It doesn't hurt either that RDJ looks mighty fine for his age. :p

I really love your writing and hope you'll post it on AO3, hon! Best just together with these charming pics of yours. You could start with your manipulating little princess, right?

Ah, Thor. Dear me, the 2nd is the next on the list. I really, really hope it's going to be better than the first. A friend of mine told me it'd be, but yeah, it's easy to get distracted by an evil looking Loki. I'll get that. ;)
