Thanks everyone!
All the wishes for our kitty might have been heard.
The good news: It wasn't her kidneys.
The not so good news: She has Inflammatory Bowel Disease. We changed her diet and she gets anti-inflammatory drugs (prednisone) every day now. She also showed signs of a Pankreatitis, but this was probably due to the bowel issue and her vomiting over some time. Her digestive enzyme levels are fine.
The best news: She likes her new diet which is mighty fine. Try to feed a kitty food they don't want to eat...and beware of the tiger unleashed. Since the change of diet she's stopped vomiting. Yay!
It'd be great if we could reduce the prednisone after some time. Taking corticosteroids for ages can be a double-edged sword as these drugs have a lot of side effects on their own. But I shouldn't get ahead of myself (again) and just relax, as she's really doing fine right now.


And because good news sometimes come in flocks I have to share this stunning picture I won on tumblr. I chose the pairing (Bagginshield) and the colours (Durin blue really suits them) and camillo1978 did all the hard work. What an amazing work that is: look at all these muscles and how they emphasize the differences between them. I love how the light bathes their skin, and how lost they are in each other. Yes, I'm in love with this pic.

ooh, congrats on winning some sexy art! :)

And yay for good kitty news! IBD is treatable and hopefully as her system adjusts to the new diet, there will be an end of symptoms. Best wishes to both of you!

Her name's Tinka though we all call her Püppi which can be translated to dolly or poppet. It's wonderful that she's eating like she should again. I'd love to have this fur ball around for some more time.

Well, we have to visit the vet again at least twice and that's probably going to be painful as they have to take blood for the tests again, but other than that it shouldn't be painful for her.
Yes, I the weight fell from my shoulders the moment she started eating her new food.

Yey, kitty is better! Or about to be! I have full trust in you. I bet it helps that she has a fully-trained vet for a "mom". ;) I hope she gets her full recovery. Cuddle her a little for me, will you? If there's one animal I'd consider in different circumstances, it would definitely be a cat. I'd have a ginger one and call it Rupert. ;)

Yes. It's an illness one can deal with and which has a good prognosis. And she's already much better.
