I'm very happy for my friends in the US that they can marry from now on whom they want to marry no matter their partner's gender (well, if they want to marry at all). I know there's still a long way to go (for all of us), but I've been following the joy and happiness on my tumblr the whole day and wanted to share at least one lovely story, about those two guys (85 and 82) who got married today in Dallas, Texas. They've been together for more than half a century. *melts away*

I know it's cheesy but I can't help it

On the other hand I'm sad and angry about the terror attacks in Tunisia, France, Syria, Kuwait and Somalia. Will we ever learn to live in peace with each other; to live and let live? *sigh*

Yey, big thumbs up for our American friends! The ruling was kind of tight, but hey, common sense and a sense of acceptance prevailed! :)
But those terrorist attacks are just mental - WT actual F!? I was even eyeing Tunisia a while ago, cause it's a relatively cheap holiday option and I had a great time staying there once - but I'm not going anywhere near it now! Though, come to think of it - that's just the way you're giving the terrorists what they want: attention and fear. But having said that - I've got kids and I would never forgive myself if they got hurt cause their mum was out to prove something to the nameless, faceless cowards that are the terrorists. It's a rocky world we live in - I guess I'm turning into a believer of fate in my old age: what is meant to happen to you, will happen, no matter what. :P

Yes, and yes. SO GLAD for gay and lesbian rights. The other stuff - so crazy and awful.

It's monumental, isn't it? I feel so overwhelmingly happy it has finally happened!

I'm hoping my country will get its head out of its arse now and follow suit.

The situation in Tunisia is...almost too much to comprehend.

Yeah the government here is resolutely ignoring what the public want regarding marriage equality, but America is such a heavyweight, I think it's only a matter of time now. That is an appalling statistic.

Yeah, it's horrifying to even think about being in a situation like that. I can only hope the survivors and families of victims are getting the support and help they need.

Yes, so happy for them! I was on a Pride float yesterday here in London, and we saw a couple of people with little American flags and we kept cheering for them :D I saw about those Texans on Tumblr and it made me cry even MORE than I was already, haha.

The attacks are so awful. And so... I know it's by far not the most shocking or terrible thing, but seeing Islamic fundamentalists murder civilians during Ramadan just adds to the sense of - these people will do absolutely anything.
