how do I get them to remove two of my fics off their site? and no, I was NOT asked!

Go to their contact form

Type DMCA Notice in the subject line and then input the following.

My name is [insert your pen name, then your legal name] and I am the legal copyright holder of the following works on your site:

[Insert list of all the pieces you want remove, plus the search term that uncovers these works on their site (try your username]

As far as I can tell, this provides them with all the information they request on their DMCA page. However, if anyone else thinks anything should be added, please let me know!

I was quite surprised to find two of mine there (one anon, one with name, none authorised) I checked a few of us. So far I've found fics from saras_girl, lumosed_quill/traintracks, digthewriter, writcraft and phoenixacid, birdsofshore, alisanne, vaysh, torino10154, dysonrules, dracogotgame, disapparater, alby_mangroves, smallbrownfrog, emansil_12, icmezzo.

I'm still checking the names of my flist, but better check yourself.

They seem to pull fics and people randomly and sometimes they take the anon fest versions from AO3, so check for titles also. I even found covers (for Sherlock fics) and some podfics by mab.

As you can see here AO3 knows about the problem. Fics from other sites than AO3 (ff.net) are affected as well. Wattpad might be too. Better check and send them a DMCA takedown notice.

ETA: strikeouts are not needed.
I've found some more: iwao, inell, lightofdaye, khalulu, germankitty, lomonaaeren, lokifan, lordhellebore, nherizu, roelliej, sylvaticginger, taradiane, who_la_hoop, zeitgeistic.

Thank you for this post. I just checked the updated AO3 twitter account, and it says there that you do not have to give them your legal name:

... as a matter of law you do not need to include the legal name of the copyright claimant/the fanfic writer, but you should include the pseudonym that the fic was posted under if you don’t want to include a legal name or address. [x]

There about five of mine that I can see. From at least a couple of different. One of which I removed entirely from the net a whole pack when one of adult-fanfiction.org's updates wrecked all the formatting on the piece. I wonder if I can get that removed as well.

It is. And just a few days ago I was glad that I'd deleted my book reviews on Goodreads some time ago. They tend to use them like they're theirs too.
I mean, we are creating our things for free, but that doesn't mean we would let others earn money (from ads) with 'our babies'.

Well, I'm no lawyer, but they are earning money with their page (space for ads and a fee for downloading stuff from there). So, they earn money with our creations. That's a no go! And they are violating a lot of rights that way - ours, the pages they took the content from and in a part even the original copyright infringement we all are willing to respect.
