What I've been up to...

I would have loved to write something for
torino10154's Blow Job Friday. (Have you seen the awesome stories over there?)
Well, lets just say I've been creative in other ways- like seasons craftmanship.
Though most people here are not very religious anymore nearly everyone celebrates a lot of those old Catholic traditions during Christmas season. So, I've crafted an Advent calender for the little one these last days and we've decorated our Advent wreath together today. Here are some pics about the calender crafting because it started a bit strange and now everything looks very shiny. And a pic of the wreath on top.

Yepp, that are loo rolls.

Much better. Duh!

And the treats.

Took around 5 hours to get there. Thank heaven, we've only one child. ;p

And the Advent wreath.
We also crafted some window pictures (Christmas trees) together this afternoon. Now we are well prepared for this year's season. :D
Oh, and I've read a lot. Fics and books. I'm currently reading a book from my tbr pile which came to my mind again because
drarryisgreen quoted it yesterday. I need to hurry because
hd_erised starts posting on Monday. OMG, I'm so excited! :D
It's nearly midnight here. I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday!

Date: 2014-11-30 02:14 pm (UTC)Well, as I'm not the most patient person in the world it happened in stages. Last step was the worst: sticking the filigree numbers nearly made me throw the whole thing out of the window. ;p

Date: 2014-11-30 02:35 pm (UTC)Synopsis à la Nia: Badass assassin is blackmailed to shoot an innocent doctor who witnessed a mafia murder. When they meet the assassin can't shoot that guy because he doesn't kill innocent people. They go on the run together and ...
I need to get used to the writing style because the one MC speaks with a hell of an slang/accent which put Hagrid's in the shade.
Haha, yes, let the kids work for their treats, so you can get some rest.
YES. Can't wait to see all the wonderful things, my giftee's reactions and my gift. Hell yeah!

Date: 2014-11-30 08:35 pm (UTC)HAHAHAHA SO TRUE
I listened to the book on audiobook first then I bought the kindle so I think re-reading it over and over again was def. helped by listening to it first.
"Nah. Jus' some guy buyin' me a drink. Mus' think I'm cute or somethin'."

Date: 2014-11-30 09:20 pm (UTC)I'm so glad you decided to do that - it's exactly what a little girl might like, glossy and shiny and brightly coloured - heck even I'd like to get something like this! :D
Excellent job, girl, excellent job indeed, well worth the effort! Take it from this troll with two left hands. :P ;)

Date: 2014-11-30 10:28 pm (UTC)Pst, I crafted one for Mr. Kantorka some years ago. Even he liked his shiny and glossy calender. I made him a pyramide out of the rolls but this time I didn't find a carton big enough to do so. The little one has got it this evening to take a first look and she's had some fun in shaking them. So, for her it's better that way. LOL
Two left hands? I saw your art. You haven't seen mine. I can only scribble stick-figures. And I can't even do it in a funny way like FTS did here.
*hugs*

Date: 2014-11-30 11:10 pm (UTC)Ahem - pssst, there is no "my" art, nothing in my LJ, see? *innocent blink* (Just a bit of doodling around for laughs ;))
Those stick figures, however, are glorious! :D How can someone stick (!) so much expression and body language onto a stick figure is beyond me. I'm sure you can do just as well - and you've got 24 shiny proofs of your artistic skill now! :)
