Heh, the first thing that came to my mind after starting to read the first part was: you shouldn't look at the stats! :)) They honestly don't reflect how you feel about a certain story or how much work you've put into it and sometimes it has more to do with the pairing or whether you chose a dark topic or perhaps even if you posted it as part of the fest or just put it in your journal. My best liked story - and mind you, because of my choice of pairings we're not talking the numbers you Draco/Harry people have, but much smaller - is terrible (that endless fic I keep lamenting about), but the second rated is something I like well enough. It perplexes me sometimes and I have a feeling I should scream at the screen: Go read that other one, this one is crap, don't lose your time! :) But different people, different tastes, I guess. In the end I'm happy of every kudos that I get - I suppose every story speaks to different people. :) Oh, I'm glad you guys had such a great time - it's so cool when you get to chat with fandom people in real time. Good luck with the non-HP fic - is it Holmes? Just guessing! :) Sorry about still being lame in replying - with kids at home during the holidays I can barely spell my name right and on top of that we had guests from England yesterday, house needed Halloween decorations and what not. :P Happy Halloween! :D
