Happy May Day!

Sadly, it's raining today and the forecast says it's not going to stop until tomorrow. But May Day is a day off here, so that's something.

Yesterday, akatnamedeaster posted about teddyradiator who challenges her f-list to post to LJ once a day. In May I want to try to post at least a bit more often than I did recently.


I've submitted my fest fic this morning and - thanks to my beloved beta (and the best alpha readers) - it's so much better now. A big hurray for all the betas and alphas out there, who help their lost authors to see the light at the end of the tunnel.


As a reward I've started to read a fic I wanted to read since its author posted the final chapter. It's an Inception-SherlockTV-fusion and it's so, so good. I'm just three chapters in (out of 31), but I fell in love with the MCs right from the start. I'm talking about Keep the Car Running by earlgreytea68. If you love Eames and Arthur just a little bit, you should really try this one.

I had a great time in Munich last weekend. Next to meeting friends, I spent a lot of time sitting on the terrasse of cafés to enjoy the sun, good coffee and to read some things. It was heavenly to do nothing beyond that. And yes, I managed to read a book and two longer fics.
Of course I spend money on some goodies, for example on a loop scarf by Desigual. Yeah, I know their things are expensive, but this scarf is so soft and the colours are gorgeous and now I have two- one for summer and one for winter. Both match with all the colours I normally wear- that's what I would call a win-win-situation. :D

Yey for the submitted fics and all the positive thoughts and experiences! :) I've had a lousy 2 days, I had to clean my windows, all 40 of them, but I'm kind of hoping the rest of the month will be better.
Sour weather here as well, I'm waiting for BF to deliver the car, so I can pick up the horrible two. No time for reading or writing until now - but wait till I start catching up! ;)

OMG, you cleaned 40 windows in two days? It's such a dreadful household core. I think it's about time for me to engage a window cleaner to do so the next time it's due. I'm not sure what's more important? To waste my precious spare time on cleaning windows or to spend an insane amount of money to let someone do it for me. Decisions, decisions. :D

After such a start your May needs to get better, hon. *hugs*

And yes, it's Labour Day here as well. We even got a lovely google.doodle today with screws, work gloves and measuring tape. It looks great. :)

I'm one third in now and it's awesome. The humour, the dreams, OMG, the dreams are so fantastic. And everyone is just preparing themselves for the crazyness of Moriarty's dreams. His dreams will be a blast- literally. Yes, and they are all so in love and don't talk about it. It's so sweet and so annoying at the same time. I really want to knock some sense into them. LOL

ETA: This is such an incoherent comment. Let's say I've been immersed and am only physically in reality at the moment. ;P

Munich is such a great city, I haven't been there for ages, but I have very fond .memories of the city.

Ah, I agree on everything you said about turning fics in, the scarf and Munich. LOL
