How can it be that we've lost two of our beloved artists, because they got into such a row that they felt the necessity to delete their accounts?

It's a rhetorical question because everybody could follow their and other discussions.
Nevertheless, it's breaking my heart to see.

To lose my lovely, passionate and talented friends over such a -in the grand scheme of life -minor thing, is making me even more sad.

It's disturbing - how could things get so much out of hand that fandom lost two active and contributing fellows? I hope both artists will return, and I'll try to contact and tell them I want them and their art back here! And that they are still very welcome and appreciated.

It's a pity that what I like in fandom - enthusiasm and initiative - led to such a result.

I think it's the case. When things like this go down, you just kinda need to get away from it and let it blow over and let everyone stop chatting about it before you feel comfortable poking your nose out.

Very unfortunate. It just goes to show how easily and quickly things can blow-up. I unfriended one who said she was deleting her account. I hope she changes her mind. I didn't know of another one who was leaving, as well. I just hope it all blows over.

Sadly, I think this art-argument was merely an instigation, rather than the actual cause underneath the quarrel. I won't say more here, because no one wants a rioting fandom, but it should not have gone that far and now it's a loss to us all.:( *is unhappy and slightly worried*

I haven't been a part of this discussion, and I've probably only seen a little bit of it. But for it to come to this is incredibly sad.
People aren't perfect, fandom isn't perfect. But HP fandom on LJ has so many wonderful qualities. I really hope that those who have left or consider leaving will think that the good parts carry the heaviest weight and come back.
